AberInnovation Seed Biobank Now Operational

We were delighted to mark a significant milestone in the Aberystwyth Innovation and Enterprise Campus build this month with the handover of the Seed Biobank. On Friday 24 May, Professor Iain Donnison, Head of IBERS, was able to accept the keys to the building on behalf of Aberystwyth University, IBERS, and the AberInnovation Project Board.

The official handover means that this building now officially passes from the contractor’s ownership and responsibility to the University’s. The process of decanting equipment and materials from the existing seed store will now begin, and is due to take two weeks. Leading on this process will be Ben Ling, Dr. Danny Thorogood, and Dr. Lin Huang, supported by AberInnovation project team members.
