Crossing the Chasm: Bridging the Gap between your Idea and the Market
Content
This interactive workshop will equip you with the knowledge to progress a technology idea to market successfully. You will hear about avoiding the many pitfalls that exist when developing an agri-tech product or solution for the marketplace and how best to overcome them. Crossing this chasm is challenging because of the well-known gap that exists between the concept and the market.
A light lunch will be provided upon arrival, allowing for ample networking opportunities.
Content will include:
Understanding the chasm: why it exists, where you might fall into it and how you can climb back out of it.
The real difference between Proof of Concept, Prototyping and Production and how to prepare, manage and deliver on all three.
The true cost of developing a technology and how to manage each stage in order to maximise results.
Choosing and managing your development team, supplier and technology partners and what questions to ask them.
Who should attend?
This workshop will be perfect for anyone actively working on or about to embark upon a technology-based project. Ideally, you will be aiming to develop a physical, real-world prototype or proof of concept, but do come along if any of the content above looks appealing to you.

This workshop will be delivered by Gavin Allen, Managing Director at Glideology, one of AberInnovation’s Virtual Tenants.
