BioAccelerate is a Business Accelerator programme focused on the commercialisation of innovation in the bioscience and healthcare sectors across Mid and West Wales. The programme will be led by Nurture Ventures and take place at the Aberystwyth Innovation and Enterprise Campus with up to 12 selected start-ups, innovators and entrepreneurs in the first cohort, starting in April 2018.
Selected participants will undertake a hands-on 12-week programme including three full-day workshops, weekly mentoring, specialist subject clinics, a “be inspired day” with Welsh entrepreneurs and a day to pitch for investment at the end. Participants will work on specific outputs from BioAccelerate including a Business Model Canvass, 3-5 year financial projections, a defined market opportunity, market needs analysis, a ‘go to market plan’, a company valuation and an investment pitch deck.
Companies and entrepreneurs will leave the programme ready for investment in their innovations.
Applications to BioAccelerate 2018 will open in early March, with the selection of successful applicants taking place in early April.
